Anju Gupta is Vice President of Data Strategy and Analytics for Enterprise Holdings Inc. In this role, Gupta
oversees strategy development for the company’s data assets and develops insights that positively impact the
company’s future – from enhancing day-to-day operations and customer interactions to leading strategic
decision-making and technology innovation efforts.
Enterprise Holdings operates – through an integrated global network of independent regional subsidiaries and
franchises – the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental brands, as well as more
than 10,000 fully staffed neighborhood and airport locations in 100 countries and territories. Enterprise
Holdings is the largest car rental company in the world, as measured by revenue and fleet. In addition,
Enterprise Holdings is the most comprehensive service provider and only investment-grade company in the
U.S. car rental industry.
The company and its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management together offer a total transportation solution,
operating more than 2 million vehicles throughout the world. Combined, these businesses – accounting for
$25.9 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2019 – include the Car Sales, Truck Rental, CarShare, Commute
vanpooling, Zimride, Exotic Car Collection, Car Club (U.K.) and Flex-E-Rent (U.K.) services, all marketed
under the Enterprise brand name. The annual revenues of Enterprise Holdings – one of America’s largest
private companies – and Enterprise Fleet Management rank near the top of the global travel industry,
exceeding many airlines and most cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, and online travel agencies.
Gupta joined Enterprise as Vice President of Data Strategy and Analytics in April 2019. Prior to joining
Enterprise, Gupta was at Monsanto for more than a decade where she worked in statistical genetics, global
analytics, technology strategy, and digital innovation, partnerships and outreach. More recently, she was a
proven leader and innovator at Syngenta in Washington D.C., where she served as Vice President of
Sustainability Campaign. In this role, Gupta was responsible for managing the organization’s global social
media analytics and campaign strategy. She was also an active member of Syngenta’s Foundation Board.
In her current role, Gupta oversees the company’s data strategy and analytics efforts and is responsible for
supporting the newly established Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics (CEDA). The Center of
Excellence for Data & Analytics (CEDA) brings the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) and IT Decision
Support divisions together to leverage the company’s data and analytics. Led by Gupta, CEDA is tasked with
delivering enhanced insights and processes that will promote an innovative and strategic data-driven future for
Enterprise Holdings.
Gupta is an active member in the community, serving as an executive advisory board member for Artificial
Intelligence World, which is owned by Cambridge Innovation Institute. She is a former regional advisory
board member for NPower, a non-profit organization that provides computer education, training and career
development to students in underserved communities. Gupta has also earned several awards, including the
YWCA Women Leader award in 2014, the CIO100 Innovation Award in 2018, and several Above and Beyond
Awards for her innovative work with Monsanto.
Currently, Gupta holds 17 granted and published patents and her reputation as a world-class expert in data and
analytics has made her an in-demand speaker for artificial intelligence (AI) conferences across the country.
She received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Life Sciences from Banaras Hindu University in
India. In 2001, she earned her Ph.D. in Genetics and Statistics from The Ohio State University.
